Richard Rauck, MD
Chairman
Dr. Rauck is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology. He has been actively engaged in clinical research in pain medicine, speaks frequently at many national and international professional meetings, and has an active clinical practice in pain management. Currently, Dr. Rauck is practicing pain management at Carolinas Pain Institute and is the medical director for The Center for Clinical Research.
Bret Hamilton
Bret retired from the US Drug Enforcement Administration as a Supervisory Special Agent. During his 23 years of service, Bret served in places like Afghanistan, Bolivia and Honduras conducting counter-narcotics operations alongside foreign-national police forces. Before retiring, Bret led DEA’s Tactical Diversion Squad for the State of Alabama and later served as the Special Agent in Charge of the State of Alabama. It was during these final years with DEA that Bret led investigations involving more than 100 undercover operations into medical clinics and the convictions of 15 medical doctors. Bret is a US Marine Corps veteran, having served in the 1st Gulf War, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
Derek Donegan, MD, MBA
Dr. Donegan is an associate professor of the Department of Orthopaedics at Penn Medicine and University of Pennsylvania Health System. He is an experienced Clinician Leader with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. He is skilled in leadership, innovation, feedback, clinical research, medical education, and orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Donegan is a strong administrative professional with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Business Administration and Management, General from Temple University - Fox School of Business and Management.
David E. Reece DO, FAAPM&R, FAANEM
Dr. Reece is an Interventional Spine & Pain Physiatrist. He is an Osteopathic Physician (DO) and his primary specialty Board Certification is in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) with additional subspecialty Board Certifications in Interventional Spine & Pain Medicine, as well as Neuromuscular Electrodiagnostics. Dr. Reece is currently the Director of Neuromodulation and Interventional Physiatry at Absolute Pain Management in Rockville, MD. Additional Leadership roles have included: Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/Pain Medicine at WRNMMC as well as the MSK/Pain Specialty Consultant for the White House Medical Unit.
Andrea Trescot, MD
Dr. Andrea Trescot is an interventional pain management specialist. She is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. Before joining Physician Partners of America, Dr. Trescot has worked in various leadership positions throughout her medical career. These include serving as Owner, Partner, President, Vice President, Treasurer, Medical Director, Board of Directors and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Trescot is the founder and director of a charitable organization (501c) known as Project Pain Relief. She has received numerous awards throughout her life, some of which include the Excellence in Physical Diagnosis Award from the Medical University of South Carolina, the Outstanding Service Award from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and, the Distinguished Physician Award from the Florida Medical Association.
Ike Ogbaa, MD
Ike Ogbaa, MD is an Internal Medicine Physician and Pharmaceutical Executive with over 17 years of Clinical and Industry experience. During his time in clinical practice he was a medical director for multiple pain medicine clinics and was also Hospitalist physician taking care of patients with Sickle Cell disease pain crises. He has held increasing levels of Medical Affairs leadership responsibilities most recently at Merck, Sanofi, Bayer, and GSK where he is currently the Executive Director for Medical Affairs in the US. He graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor in Arts in Psychobiology, completed his Medical School training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson medical school in NJ and his Internal Medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Amanda Zimmerman, PA-C
Amanda Zimmerman is a Physician Assistant with 21 years pain management experience, having opened West Forsyth Pain Management in 2011. Ms. Zimmerman is involved in educational efforts across the specialty. She has been involved on the program committee of the Pain Society of the Carolinas since it was founded 12 years ago. Ms. Zimmerman is a co-chair on the Advanced Practice Provider committee at the American Academy of Pain Medicine. Amanda is currently the principal investigator on a phase IV clinical trial. She attended SUNY New Paltz, earning a bachelor of arts in biology, and attended Hahnemann University for her physician assistant training.
Paul Hubbell, III, MD
Dr. Hubbell is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualification in Pain Management and is also a diplomat of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is one of only 4 physicians in Louisiana that is an International Fellow of Interventional Pain. He has written on topics related to his field and authored chapters in Anesthesiology and Pain textbooks. He is also a Cadaver Lab Instructor for Interventional Pain Procedures for the American Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners. His duties have also included serving as an investigator in clinical trials that focused on pain care technologies. Dr. Hubbell is the President of the Louisiana Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners and has been appointed to the Medical Advisory Committee of Louisiana Workers Compensation Advisory Committee.
David Arcella, MD
Dr. David J. Arcella is a Harvard trained Interventional Pain Management Specialist. He attended medical school at Ross University and traveled to New England to complete his medical residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Massachusetts. He also has experience at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and the VA Medical Center. Dr. Arcella has contributed to research in opioid alternative medications and medication-free pain management options, as well as surgical anesthesia techniques to minimize the incidence of chronic pain. He believes in creating a collaborative care plan with his patients and customizing treatments to each patient’s individual goals.
